year in review

Saturday, December 15, 2007

the year started amid lightning and thunder, and fittingly it draws to a close framed with rain outside the window again.

having spent the most part of the year ensconced in you-know-what, there should be pitifully little to summarise here. However in between all the crap and drivel somehow this year still managed to be the best thus far, for reasons which also make it the worst.

friends - I've made some, but too few to stave off boredom and too many who have came and went, summoned further into the dark depths of the establishment. some of whom I shall be seeing soon when they hit the parade square with pride, the weight of the nation on their shoulders. of course with the good comes the bad and there will always be the few who stab you when you once approached them with an open mind and open arms. beware. Don't be reckless with other people's hearts,
don't put up with people who are reckless with yours.

the rest of the time has been fine. plenty to be thankful of and look forward to. but probably nothing that is gonna last. the idling will be a thing of the past once school hits, as will the wide-eyed blur-ness that is the default expression of an nsf. life will demand more of us then the army ever will, and I'm not sure if that patch of grass is gonna be much greener than we expect
